Merry Christmas

As Mayor, I want to wish every resident in Woburn Sands a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This season is always a chance to pause and reflect on what matters most: family, friends, kindness, and the community spirit that makes our town such a special place to live. Over the past year I’ve seen that spirit up close – in volunteers giving up their time, in neighbours looking out for one another, and in the quiet, everyday work of people who keep Woburn Sands moving.

Christmas can be joyful, but it can also be difficult. If you’re spending the holidays on your own, coping with illness, worried about finances, or missing someone you love, please know you are not alone. There are community groups, faith organisations, charities and services across Woburn Sands working throughout the festive period, and I encourage anyone who needs support to reach out.

I would like to thank everyone who will be working over the festive period within our communities, keeping Woburn Sands safe, supported and connected during the festive season.

If you’re travelling, please take care on the roads. If you’re celebrating, please do so responsibly. And if you can, consider checking in on a neighbour or doing one small act of kindness – it can make a bigger difference than you might think.
