The Town Council meets formally at 7.30pm on the second Monday of every month (except August) in the Council Offices at the rear of The Memorial Hall (see link for agendas and minutes). The public are very welcome to observe all public meetings. There is an agenda item at the beginning of each meeting to provide an opportunity for members of the public to speak on any issues. Do look at the agenda before attending, or speak to the Clerk to see if your issue might be on the agenda. Please note, the council cannot make decisions on anything raised that is not on the agenda, although the council endeavours to address all issues raised by residents, they may have to wait until another meeting if a decision is required.
The Annual Town Council Meeting is the second Monday in May. This is when the Mayor is elected, all councillors agree which committees they will sit on, and the dates of the meetings are agreed for the year. This is a Town Council meeting but there is also an Annual Town Meeting which is not a council meeting.
The Town Council hosts the Annual Town Meeting once a year in April or May. This residents meeting provides an opportunity for the Town Council and any Woburn Sands groups and organisations to report on their work over the past year and plans for the future.
This years Annual Town Meeting will be at the Ellen Pettit Memorial Hall on the High Street, 7.30pm on Thursday 1st May 2025.
